Job Title:	ORTHOPAEDIC TECHNICIAN
Department:	Department of Social Welfare
Salary:	D34, 128 per annum - Grade 7 of the Integrated Pay scale
Duties:	- Perform cast taking and modification of casts - Produce prosthesis and be responsible for their maintenance - Maintenance of braces, cock up splints, drop foot splints and cervical collars. - Work in close collaboration with the Physiotherapy Unit, Medical Clinic of the RVTH> - Assess the reason for referral and work with client towards finding solutions to problems. - Alert Supervisors to potential problems of a case work nature, which may have public relations implications for the Department. - Undertake any other duties assigned by his/her Superiors.

Qualifications:	Applicants should possess a Diploma in Science with at least three (3) years working experience in a related field.
