Job Title: Planner
Department: Ministry of Forestry and the Environment (MOFEN) - Gipfza House
Salary: D41,256 per annum - Grade 8 of the Government's Integrated Pay Scale
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS:
For direct entry into this position, candidates must possess a Post Graduate (Masters) degree in Economics or related field from a recognized University.
Duties: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To Develop annual work plans at the Ministry of Forestry and the Environment (MOFEN)

• To Assist in the Monitoring & Evaluation of programmes in MOFEN and its line Departments and Agencies

• To participate in Programme Planning & Development

• To Develop resource mobilization strategies for the Ministry , its line Departments & Agencies

• To Assist in conducting Research

• To Assist in mainstreaming cross cutting issues including Climate Change and Biodiversity into Sectoral Policies & Plans

• To Facilitate the conduct of programme Coordination, Monitoring & Resource Mobilization Committee Meetings

• To Serve as a liaison to the Ministry & its line Departments & Agencies on programming issues

• To Conduct training on Climate Change & Development issues

• To Assist in the formulation of policies & plans

• To Sensitize & advocate people on Environmental issues particularly Climate Change

• Any other duty assigned by the Permanent Secretary or your supervisor
Personal Specification: WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year relevant working experience
