Senior Trade Economist |

D48,830 per annum - Grade 9 of the Government

| Duties: |
The applicant will:
- Formulate and implement trade policies;
- Analyse factors affecting trade development;
- Monitor Contributions to trade-related International
Organisations
- Carry out quarterly analysis of the foreign and
re-export trade in collaboration with The Gambia
Bureau of Statistics;
- Monitor price of basic commodities locally and in
neighbouring countries;
- Assess factors affecting the domestic trade;
- Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisors
The Senior Trade Economist is also:
- Responsible for Common Fund for Commodities (CFC),
World Trade Organisation (WTO) AND Ecowas matters.
- Responsible for Trade Information, United Nations
Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the
International Trade Centres (ITC) Services etc.; |
| Qualifications: |
Applicants should possess a Master’s Degree in
Economics or its equivalence with a minimum of five
years’ work experience. |
