Job Title:	Senior Economist
Department:	Ministry of Trade, Industry and Employment (Industrial Unit)
Salary:	D48, 830 per annum - Grade 9 of the Government Integrated Pay Scale
Duties:	The successful applicant will: - Appraise Industrial Development Proposals; - Review project documents and drafts; - Identify new industrializations possibility frontiers within priority areas of National Development; in collaboration with potential investors - Assist in collecting, updating and analysis of all data on the existing industries with respect to field input and output, document all constrains that are affecting the business; - Assist the Principal Industrial Economist in coordinating industrial promotion activities in collaboration with the Gambia Investment Promotion and Free Zone Area (GIPZA) and other relevant institutions such as Indigenous Business Advisory Service (IBAS), The Gambia Tourism Authority (GTA), etc.;
Qualifications:	Applicants should have a Master’s Degree in Economics or a related field from a recognised University with at least three years working experience.
