| Duties: |
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Principal Policy Analyst will among other duties:
• Conduct research on policy issues;
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of
Government policies;
• Give sound analysis on the policy environment both
ex-ante and ex-post;
• Guide policy implementation in accordance with our
national development targets and blue-prints like
Vision 2020, PRSP etc.;
• Identify clearly the stakeholders in policy
formulation and implementation;
• Assist sectors and government in general in
reviewing current policies with the view to providing
alternative policy objectives when and where required;
• Any other duties that may be assigned by supervisors |
| Skills: |
The successful applicant should have:
• A good analytical ability;
• A good writing and communication ability;
He/she should be highly motivated and be a team
player. |
| Qualifications: |
Applicants should have:
A Master’s Degree in the Social Sciences particularly
in Economics from a
recognised Institution with 5 (five) years’ work
experience. In addition to
possessing this qualification, applicants with a
strong research background are encouraged to apply. |

Applications are invited from suitably
qualified Gambians. The salary attached to the post is
in Grade 8 of the Government Integrated Pay Scale i.e.
D 41, 256.00 (forty-one thousand, two hundred and
fifty-six dalasis).
